The Garden Grove Community Services Department is heating up after a cold winter with its spring recreation classes. Registration begins on Wednesday, March 3, for a variety of classes, including preschool programs and music, dance, or sports programs for residents of all ages.
Brand-new recreational classes for adults include jewelry making and knitting and crocheting. In addition, new ceramics courses are being offered to children, including toddlers.
Pre-school programs will be held at Edgar Park, located at 12781 Topaz St., and West Haven Park, 12252 West St. Tiny Tots for children, ages 4-5, begins April 19 and will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The 26-session program costs $260. Kare Bears for children, ages 3-4, begins April 20 and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Total cost for the 18-session program is $180. Space is limited.
The popular youth basketball and aquatics programs will begin registration in April. Adult softball leagues will be formed in May.
